Whilst investigating for my Future Learning Space assignment , my research has made me realise just how many internally displaced people (IDP) and world emergencies there are. It is very confronting to see what they don't have access to and what they value the most. Staying together , sometimes through any means, shows how strong a persons values are and that finding a secure place to live these values is very important. Throughout my investigations, I also wondered about the journeys that these people go on to get to a "safe place" or refuge. I thought about how far they would go, what risks they took and what they did on they way.

As we are focusing on learning spaces, I came across the notion of Nomadic Learning and how it fits into, not only the corporate world, but into extreme rural situations like refugees on their journeys.

It also struck me that I am somewhat of a nomadic learner. I am in a state of going from one place to another ( almost liminal ) and learning along the way. I go from website to website, article to journal and take with me what I need to get through my journey.

I realise that my journey cannot ever compare to what I have been reading about, but it can assist me in creating a Future Learning Spaces for that can assist children in crisis or on the run.
